This session explored the evolving landscape of public and global health education, focusing on the integration of innovative approaches and addressing emerging. Panellists examined the intersection of artificial intelligence, authentic assessment, cultural competence and workforce development shaping the future of teaching and learning across public and global health.
Focus areas of discussions included:
Exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on public and global health education, including its potential to enhance learning outcomes and prepare graduates for the workplace;
Discussing the role of authentic assessment in fostering deeper learning and skill development;
Demonstrating strategies to integrate cultural competence into curricula, promoting inclusivity and responsiveness to diverse populations’ health needs;
Analysing challenges and opportunities in workforce development and retention within the public and global health sector; and
Identifying strategies to address skill gaps and promote career longevity.
